This Statement outlines our approach and the steps we have taken in the last twelve months to combat the risk of human trafficking, child, and forced labor within our business and supply chains, in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Background

Aligned with our values of transparency, accountability, and innovation, VaynerMedia is committed to identifying and addressing any risks of modern slavery. Our company policies establish a zero-tolerance stance on any form of exploitation or forced labor.

Our approach is guided by:

  • Increasing employee awareness on ethical practices through comprehensive training programs.
  • Improving our procurement practices and due diligence.
  • Engaging with industry partners to gain insights and raise awareness globally.

Governance

VaynerMedia fully supports the principles set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) core standards. Our Environmental and Social POV underpins our commitment to responsible business practices. Our Executive Leadership Team, in tandem with our People and Experience Team (PET) oversees our efforts to address human rights, including the prevention of human trafficking, child labor, and forced labor.

Policies

VaynerMedia maintains several policies that reinforce our ethical standards, including:

  • Anti-Bribery & Corruption
  • Work & Compensation Policies
  • Diversity & Inclusion
  • Sustainable Procurement
  • Whistleblower Policy

Our employment practices ensure all employees have legal rights to work, and pre-employment screening is in place to prevent unlawful labor practices.

Commitments

Our Whistleblower policy allows employees to report any unethical behavior, confident that their concerns will be investigated promptly and without fear of retaliation.

Procurement

We are committed to working with suppliers who align with our values. Our Procurement Team outlines key expectations across six areas:

  • Business Integrity
  • Climate Action & Environmental Management
  • Diversity & Inclusion
  • Health & Safety
  • Human Rights
  • Responsible Supply Chain Management

We engage with suppliers to develop improvement plans if standards fall short, and we reserve the right to terminate relationships if serious issues are not resolved.

Training and Awareness

All employees receive mandatory workplace training, including recognizing and reporting signs of exploitation.

Stakeholder Engagement

VaynerMedia is committed to working with clients, suppliers, and industry partners to strengthen our approach to combating modern slavery.

Measuring Effectiveness

We continually assess the effectiveness of our actions through key indicators, such as the number of colleagues trained and incidents reported. In the past financial year, VaynerMedia has recorded:

  • Zero incidences of modern slavery in our operations or supply chain.
  • 1,500+ employees taking part in mandatory workplace training.

Next Steps

In the coming year, we will continue to further enhance our vendor procurement due diligence processes, incorporating comprehensive ESG frameworks to assess and mitigate risks related to human rights and modern slavery. We will also work closely with our suppliers on collaborative training and development initiatives.
