People are posting as recruiters under various names that are reaching out to prospective candidates as a representative of VaynerMedia. In his communications, he states that he is recruiting for a Remote VIDEO EDITOR position and provides details to be interviewed and offered the position. They are communicating through a variety of email addresses including: careers@vaynermedia.us and vaynermediallc@gmail.com.
APAC:
In most instances, prospective candidates are first approached via Whatsapp by fraudsters pretending to be representatives of VaynerMedia APAC with offers of remote positions. Subsequently, they are requested to shift the conversations to Telegram and to complete several “tasks” to attain the position, which includes but is not limited to transferring and / or investing money to various bank and cryptocurrency accounts. Some of the methods used to establish trust include fabricated company IDs, and falsified business addresses.
Once offered the position, this person then requests all personal identification information, personal banking details, and more.
