Crush It!

The day has finally come!  As you may have heard, Gary’s book, Crush It, comes out today and we’re all ridiculously excited here at Vaynermedia HQ.   As a heads up, this post is a little more promotional than our previous offerings in this space, but hey, we don’t release a book every day.

If you haven’t been following what Gary’s been up to with the book, you should check out its website, www.crushitbook.com.  Crush It contains a lot of the underlying principles that guide our strategies here at Vaynermedia, so if you’re looking to get a better feel for what we’re all about, it’s a great starting point.  While you’re at it, you can check out its Facebook page where there’s been a bunch of great discussion about the book, with more sure to come now that it’s finally out.

We know we’ve got a great book on our hands, and early reviews have verified it.  As we mentioned in our previous post, however, in a world full of free content, the book experience needs to improve to remain relevant.   As a result we’ve been exploring every avenue to ensure that this book delivers as much value as possible.  One of the most interesting aspects of our promotion is The Crush It Experience.  Whether you just want a free wristband or want to have dinner with Gary at an incredible NYC restaurant, we’ve made it possible through the book. Of course, if you’d rather just get down to the nitty gritty and get in the trenches, simply order a copy.

In the end, though, there’s no replacement for hustle and personal interaction.  Gary’s taken that to heart, as his extensive book tour schedule can attest.  Check out his touring schedule and see if he’s coming anywhere near you.  If he is, we can promise it’ll worth the trip.  He’ll be answering questions, signing books, and maybe even working in a few thumb wrestling matches.

We’d love to hear your thoughts about the book and hopefully we’ll see you on the tour!

Marcus has come a long way since creating professional wrestling role playing web sites when he was in middle school. Despite studying economics at the University of Richmond, he knew he didn't want to pursue the traditional finance career path (a decision which the economy conveniently supported). Marcus' passion for relationships and critical business analysis made becoming a project manager with Vaynermedia a logical next step.
